This used money pit BMW isn't just any BMW 750I. This car used to be a Consumer Reports test vehicle that Consumer Reports used to put 50+ tests on it including acceleration, braking, fuel economy, and a whole lot more. Those newer BMWs, like the G12 750I, have so much plastic parts, including a plastic electronic water pump that costs more than $1,000 to replace and it doesn't have an oil dipstick to check the oil. The older ones were better made than the newer ones with all this advanced computer stuff. The G12 has partial self steering and the G30 has Evasion Assist.

I just picked up a 1990 BMW 735il (E32) that is in pretty good shape considering it has 231,000 miles. I will post some pictures and more information, but I think the older BMWs have such great character and personality as opposed to everything today which looks the same.

In case you didn't watch the video, Tom Mutchler said that it performs better than the Mercedes S-Class in every way. As the saying goes, you can't check the oil on a BMW, but you can't jump-start a Mercedes either.
