Scotty Kilmer, mechanic for the last 50 years (just had a birthday) shows how a little additive to your engine oil can make it have less friction and heat on those crucial dry start ups. The less bare metal to metal contact you have, the longer your engine will last.
never tried the stufff, so I can't say. Actual testing in engines is much more complex than that, I got a private lab viewing of how shell tests their engine oils and it's a LOT more sophisticated than this.

you can put in additives, just make sure you use good ones if you want to put some in on say a high mileage engine
