Hello Scotty, I am from Australia, im currently in the process of obtaining my Provisional Drivers license as here for our license process we have the Learners, Provisional and Provisional 2 then the full license, my parents have offered me $5,000AUD to buy a car once I get my provisional and was looking at getting a Celica just like yours, unfortunately no one in my family knows how to drive a manual so id prefer to get an automatic.

I came across a 1998 Celica SX Auto for $2,700AUD but it has 308,000km clocked onto it, its had a lot of parts replaced like the timing belt, engine starter, radiator, battery, considering its had 308,000km put onto it I don't really want to buy the car as its probably going to become a money pit but I want to hear your opinion if you were in this situation.

I also have the option of getting a 2001 Celica SX Auto but dont know alot about them durability wise so I want to also hear what you know about the 2001 models.

Sorry for the long message but as a 17 year old I want to make the best purchase what is right for me, thanks alot!
