American companies want profit by increasing car price and lowering wages. Toyota wants profit by increasing quality. My beater 98 Corolla runs nicer than most junk sold today.

Because they make more PROFIT on behemoth trucks and SUVs. They don't care about the economy-car market. They'er EEDJITS-- Toyota Corolla is the biggest-selling car in history. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I think I I drove most small cars they feel like that unless it a premium like Mercedes, jaguar. Made lite weight for better has mileage, there reason! I think they are made junky for more profit also. Plastic that , snaps, weak moving parts. Poor engineering controlled now by bean counters instead of car lovers.
