My 2000 Acura TL 3.2 has a scraping/whining sound from the front when I accelerate over 20 mph. My 30 year experienced backyard mechanic checked it out and told me it needed front brakes and a right wheel bearing. After he added them to the Acura the sound disappeared for half a day I could only hear it slightly while taking sharp right turns. Later that day the whining/scraping noise came back so I called him told him about it he came checked it out and told me it was the back brakes, he changed those and the noise was still there. So today I jacked the car up, put it in Neutral (FrontWheelDrive) and noticed its a really light scrape noise coming from the left wheel specifically the rotor. I also noticed the left rotor is missing the 2 main bolts and it has slight play when i move it left to right. I ask him about it he says the missing bolts don't affect it because the wheel makes up for it and the scraping noise will go away on its own....what could be the issue and how can I fix it???
left wheel bearing sounds bad too really. Also check for bent brake dust shield on that side
