What would cause this Phenomenon with a 1995 Geo Tracker 1.6L 16 valve MFI Engine OBD I , to behave ?? The Engine starts Cold and operates (IDLES) Fine at Normal 900 RPM's When STARTED Cold ! , But As the Engine Runs and Engine Temperature HEATS UP AND starts to Rise THE RPM'S DROP IN 100 RPM INCREMENTS LIKE EVERY MINUTE AS Engine TEMPERATURE RISES Slowly to normal 195 F. The Engine RPM's Drop in 100 RPM'S Increments as the Engine Heats Up , Engine RPM's DROP to final 200 RPM'S on Tach , Spits & Sputters and Loss of Engine Power ?? A 20 year Experienced Mechanic said it was the Ignitor & Coil heating Up as Engine increased in Temperature. Well those Parts have been Newly Changed , It slightly increased THE Warmed Up Engine Only 100 RPM'S TO REGISTER ON TACH AT IDLE Only to maybe 300 RPM'S ?? What Is the Cause of this Phenomenon causing this Geo Tracker to behave in a tee-ter-tot-ter Cold Engine Normal 900 RPM'S ONLY TO LOWER IN RPM'S ASS THE ENGINE HEATS UP ?? ANYONE HAVE A CLUE . Scotty do you have a Clue ??Thanks ,,, knockonwoodmotor
Thanks , Both of these techniques have been done , Tested IAC Valve , Replaced it with a New STANDARD Part . Something seems to be heating up ?? I am still on The Hunt , Any Clues would be appreciated !
Do these two things first: 1// Check for a stuck Idle Air Control Valve 2// Do this Scotty video, quick cheap fix you won't regret:
