Volvo Quality/Reliability (Old vs. New)

Dan.

Older Volvos vs. the new and modern ones.

I have a 2009 Volvo XC70 3.2 with 160,000 miles, and still drives like new (only replaced drive belt). The thing feels very well built, with the heaviest doors I have felt on a car and a solid interior, so I was wondering: have you worked on any of the modern Volvos (new platform, 2016-), and do you think that they are reliable cars? I was thinking the xc40 could be a good choice for my next car in a few years.

Thanks. But I think that the XC40 is also available for purchase instead of using care by volvo. Here's a link to the online builder where they have separate categories for "momentum", and "momentum (care by volvo)". Please correct my if I am mistaken. https://www.volvocars.com/us/build/suv/xc40

If you want, get a new XC90. The XC40s are only available with the Care by Volvo subscription only. To view more details about the Care by Volvo subscription, click the link below. https://www.volvocars.com/us/cars/new-models/xc40/care-by-volvo

I have and they are money pits compared to the older ones. Volvo quality has gone down big time, they are always on the verge of bankruptcy like Saab, who went bankrupt
