v-6 3.0L Ford Ranger 185K. since the last cylinder change put 60K miles on the motor. had a water hose blow and it got hot. getting a generic code misfire code on cylinder #5 only between 65 and 70 mph. the code doesn't happen when i drive slow under 65. I have replaced the spark plugs and wires have a coil on order if the coil does not fix it what else could it be?

going to swap the fuel injectors from cylinder 5 and 6 to make sure the fuel injector isn't the problem.

will do a pressure test to see if its a burn valve again.

is this motor worth fixing with 185 k miles on it or should i replace the motor?

I'd replace the motor, since it overheated odds are at least the head gasket is blowing near #5
