hi scotty.i have a 2003vwgti.mechanic cant fix it broke more on it than fixed

2003vw gti 6 cilynder 6 speed.it started bucking on me and would not start again.i took it to a shop. the he guy ran a diagnostic and replaced the ecu,than he reprogrammed it.then he told me the fuse cluster was melted and replaced it ,put the code in it .i picked up the car after amonth.drove 1 day and the same thing again.my scanner sais linking error,also now after he fixed it my horn is not working .the airbag light stays on and where the air condition knobs are its flickering.1300$ later he tells me its a short in the wiring and it could cost 2000$..what do you think..oh he said he replaced the mf sensor and crankshaft censor...thanks

thanks just had a guy scan it with a vag com.it sais ecu not cominicating with the engine.he thinks they programmed the ecu wrong

I would never buy any VW, due to their poor design and workmanship these days. But to fix them, today you need a pro mechanic with a VW dealer level scanner like Vag Com and let them go at it Your guy seems like he's just guessing with your money, go elsewhere.
