Scotty, what are your words of wisdom on keeping a 2008 jeep patriot with almost 160,000 miles on it, running well. I realize it's a chrysler, and with that being said - will be my last chrysler :). The motor runs well. I have replaced some parts, cv axel, ball joint, one wheel bearing on rear, and am now in need of a wheel bearing on the front end. It does have the CVT, which is doing ok, I just dont push it hard because I worry it can't take the punishment. I rarely take it over 3thousand rpms. I still owe money on it, but with it being a CVT, I want to pay it off and be done with it before that goes. I want to get at least one more year out of it before I sell it off. I live in michigan, so there is rust. And honestly, it's been a pretty descent vehicle for as far as a chrysler product goes. I should also mention that while commuting, I put on approximately 80 miles each weekday.
Thanks for any suggestions or tips. I'm a teacher, so plan on doing some tune up work when school lets out. I plan to replace the wheel bearing and change engine coolant, and maybe spark plugs.
I appreciate your time, and all that you do, love the show and would love your input.....Thanks!!
