Scotty, share your insight on a 2009 Ford Ranger I’m looking into buying from my local Ford dealer. It’s specs: 4 Cylinder, 5 speed manual, 2 wheel drive, 35200 miles on it. The dealer is asked $8,900. The truck is practically brand new. I’ve watched several of your videos of your thoughts on the Ranger. But this deal seems to good to be true. I test drove it; shifted, rode, and accelerated super good. I checked under the hood, everything checks out; oil, fluids, etc. I received Car Fax forms and a Kelley Blue Book Form from the dealer, but we both know those aren’t reliable. I asked for a title record but they weren’t super willing to retrieve the title. As far as the car fax goes, everything looks good on it. Proper service intervals, no accidents, nothing unusual. I checked the Recall by VIN, the truck has had all recalls serviced. The only con that I found was that the truck had a slight cigarette smell which is no big deal too me. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Maybe we can talk a little more in-depth possibly? Let me know if you think this truck is too good to be true and what you recommend I further do. Thank you, Ethan.

IF they can prove real mileage, get it.

Do you there’s anything I should try to get out of the dealer to make sure I’m not getting hosed?

It’s great mileage for an 09 in my opinion. Like no joke; 35,200 miles. Ten years old. The previous owner babied it
