Find a shop that has a 5 gas analyzer that can do lambda calculations to see if it's a pre-combustion a/f issue. Many times if the a/f lamba calc. checks out as normal, then you'll need to determine if the engine has an ignition misfire, low compression or is oil burning. But if the lambda is out of spec, then need to find out why, whether it's running rich, lean and the aftmkt. intake may affect that. But whatever you find out whether rich, lean, poor compression, and/or oil burning, any one of these issues can ruin cat converters fast!

only a bad cat, bad wiring, bad oxygen sensors, or bad main computer can trip that code. SO, good luck on that, cause if it is the CAT, they don't go bad by themselves, something makes em go bad and just changing the cat won't fix the underlying problem. Realize that
