Scotty, I know Subaru’s CVTs are terrible so I’m trying to find a manual shift Forester 2012 or newer because they have timing chains. I live in Arizona, so we don’t really see weather related issues.

I’m wondering if you’re still seeing the head gasket problem and if there’s a mileage you recommend staying below?

Is a RAV4 automatic transmission (non-CVT year) a better option than a Subaru Forester with a manual transmission?

Sounds good, Thanks Scotty/Team. Techsus, I wish I could find a manual Rav4, but I haven’t found one on the market yet. I will definitely be looking for made in Japan. Thanks!
