Scotty,

I hope this post finds you well. I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma that I've owned for eight years. Its frame has rusted to the point that it will soon be too risky to drive. I am writing to let you know that I reached out to Toyota USA about replacing my Tacoma's frame. They declined to replace my truck's frame. I have included an image of their email response for reference. Do you have any recommendations on how to proceed? The truck is a 2.7L engine with a five-speed manual with only 139,000 original miles. Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Allen in Christiansburg, Virginia

Thanks @Jackofall The rest of the truck is in great shape including the engine and transmission. I will need to do a cost vs. benefit of replacing the frame. I may take your advice and seek out a reputable welding shop to see what they would charge. Hope you had a Happy New Year as well.

If you are in state inspection state selling it with rusted frame is a issue has to be declared. I would take it to welding shop see what they want to make it right. Happy new year😉
