Scotty, I have a 2008 Lexus GS 350 AWD. While I have a 303 hp engine with lots of power, I drive like a granny (or like an old man...but then, I am an old man. I depress the accelerator as little as possible to get the speed I need. I do this in order to get the best gas mileage. It is working; I am averaging 28 mpg (75% highway ) for the car. I only punch it when I am trying to avoid idiots. I also brake as gently as possible. I always keep my distance from the cars in front of me (in part because the idiots behind me are right on my bumper and I am afraid they will hit me if I brake too hard).

I assume that the combination of gentle driving and periodic maintenance with a good mechanic is good for my car. I think the only downside is that people on the road will think I am a weeny. But, since I have a younger, very pretty wife, I don't care what they think.

Have you done a video on driving tips for prolonging the life of your car? I would like to see what else I could be doing.
