Scotty,
I have a 2000 dodge dakota 4.7l. When I get in the truck in the morning and head to work my ac blows very cold as long as I don't turn off the truck. Once I turn it off the compressor will not come on again until the truck has sat for hours. Like on the drive home from work it works fine once again until the motor is turned off. The system is properly charged, makes no unusual noise, has been dye tested and has no leaks and is maintaing pressure. I presume it's electrical? Could this be a bad low pressure switch?
Any ideas will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Mark

Argh, classic signs of electrical failure in a dakota 17 years old. Good luck on that one, it takes a pro with a dealer scan tool and years of experience to trace that baby down. But heck, low pressure switches do go bad and they are cheap to swap out
