Scotty, I appreciate your YouTube videos very much. You have saved me a lot of money by helping me to repair my own car when possible. Since my 20 year old Toyota Avalon with 300,000 miles on it is beginning to die, I recently purchased, on your advice a 2007 Toyota Corolla in excellent condition with 103,000 miles on it, a base model, 5 speed manual. (4500 dollers). While I plan to change the differential fluid and transmission fluid next spring and of course keep the oil changed regularly is there 1): anything I can do to make this car last to half-a-million miles? 2): Does it matter that the car is made in Canada, not Japan? 3): are there any problems or issues with this particular Toyota that I need to be on the lookout for that you are aware of? Once again, myself and my friends thank you very very much for the service you provide through YouTube videos. I have not found a more practical useful way to learn the truth about cars than your YouTube videos and I hope they are paying you a king's Ransom to do this public service because you deserve it! Sincerely, John hunter

canadiens make great cars too. It's a standard, so just change engine oil regularly and stay away from flood waters it should last a long time
