Big fan of your channel. Have a question about a good tow vehicle for my 5,000 lb boat and trailer.
I currently have a 2006 Toyota Sequoia V8 2 wheel drive with 160,000 miles with a transmission cooler(original owner). The Sequoia has been well maintained but I have noticed that when I first start up the vehicle and put it in gear the transmission has a slight hestation(Slip) but the slip does goes away after warming up. Also the Vehicle will be in need of a Timing belt change at 180,000 miles (there goes a grand $$). My boat ramp is only 5 minutes from my home and the Sequoia pulls it fine. The only issue is when I retire in a few years I would like to take the boat on longer trips(Longer trips = 6 hour drives), Currently I get 4-5 miles per gallon when towing. What should I do? suck it up, pay the gas bill, keep the vehicle for long trips until id dies or do you have any good recommendation on a better option for a tow vehicle. I know you like the Ford F150 or 250.
Thanks for your insight in advance,
