As a Houston native, I remember when Auto Zone moved into Houston. Back in the 80s or early 90s I purchased a fuel pump from them for an 1981 Corolla because of the lifetime guarantee. However it kept failing after a couple of days on the car, they always replaced it for free at least six or seven times but I got really tired of removing and replacing the pump. The experience soured me on Auto Zone for years. You often mention them in a positive light and my question is do remember them having parts quality issues back in that time? I assume that is no longer the case.

I also wanted mention my very positive view of Cotton Brothers. Back in the 1970s I had a 1977 Honda Accord, one of the front hubs was out of balance which meant that every time I put new tires on the car I had to have the tires spin balanced on the car. They were the only place I could find that do a spin balance on the car. I still feel this is the best way to balance tires on a car do you agree?

they have gone up in quality on some parts. And yes, that's the best way to balance
