Scotty and others, need help again

I followed my 11 Tacoma owners manual and totally changed the Power steering fluid just now, at 42k miles (i don't drive much). The Owners manual states Dextron 2 or 3 ATF, that is what i put in it. BUT....the original fluid from the factory was light, clear, only slightly brownish but very clear.

Should i be concerned the original fluid was not RED?

ATF is normally red, but sometimes it can be a very dark color. Depending on the fluid type.

It's only a dye, the manufacturer probably put it in so people wouldn't confuse it with something else like oil or brake fluid.

Also... "Clean transmission fluid is a dark red, translucent color. ... Over time, the fluid will become darker, causing it to go from its original red to a dark, burnt color due to age and vehicle use."

ATF power steering fluid can also turn dark too, indicating it's a good time to change it.
