Please Help Scotty, OBD Code P2173 - High Airflow/ Vacuum Leak Detected (slow accumulation) and ABS code C121C Torque Request Signal Denied. My dad has a 2015 Jeep Patriot High Altitude 2.4L automatic with 53,000kms/ 33,000 miles that he has owned since new. He is a conservative driver and was heading home on the highway tonight when all of a sudden the car went into a limp mode. There was a major loss of power (specifically at lower speeds where it seemed to want to stall), lost tiptronic control, 4wd and traction control. It also displayed a red light bolt with between )( which I believe is the electronic throttle control system. When he restarted the car the red lightning bolt stayed but the tiptronic, 4wd and traction came back for a few minutes. I ran my OBD2 scanner and it showed OBD Code P2173 - High Airflow/ Vacuum Leak Detected (slow accumulation) and ABS code C121C Torque Request Signal Denied. I have no clue what the live data means but I included photos if that helps. I didn't see anything under the hood that look damaged or disconnected. This is the first issue that this vehicle has had. Unfortunately neither of us have found a good honest mechanic again since ours had retired a few years back.
Pray it is just that
Just prior to the drive he put gas in the car. Is it possible that this was a result of bad gas? If so is it as simple as removing the gas and refilling it?
