Hi Scotty. I got a 2009 Toyota RAV4 (2.5L with 171,000km) and a 2009 Mazda 3 (2.0L with 193,000km). The RAV4 has been clicking on turns for over a year and now the Mazda has developped a popping sound on deceleration (Grease has been leaking out of the driver-side axle for the past few months).

I decided that I'd like to keep both cars and fix them up so I need to replace the axles. Both Mazda and Toyota want over $800 for each axle... Are there any good aftermarket brands that produce axles for these cars? Or is it better to save up and just buy the OEM replacements. Thanks!

Thanks for the update Scotty! Are you able to recommend brands that produce axles that some of us DIY guys could look into? Some of the more well-made ones that have been pretty reliable from your experience? Are there any brands that I should definitely steer clear of? Thanks Scotty!
