Need Scotty's troubleshooting skills! I got a 2012 Buick Lacrosse Premium Group I with Automatic transmission. It has 72,000 miles and the engine and transmission runs great! However, the dashboard keep showing "Service Tire Monitor System" as shown in picture. Also, the TPMS doesn't show number for all 4 tires. I went to Buick dealer reprogrammed the sensor for multiple times and the error message always come back after a few hours of driving. Then, the dealer says the TPMS sensors are run out of batteries and need to be replace with new ( $113 /sensor). I bought 4 Dorman 974-009 TMPS Sensor and have them installed in Firestone and reprogrammed them. But the error still come back after a few hours of driving. Firestone says the car software need to be upgrade from the dealer. The dealer keep saying OEM sensors are need to be replaced. I'd rather spending $400+ in fluid change than just for 4 OEM sensors. Plus, I don't really sure this is a sensor issue since a lot of GM owner used Dorman sensor without issue. Could you please provide some suggestion for my next step to fix this issue?
