my 95 toyota t100 2wd sr5 3.4. My front right side tire makes a thumping sound when the truck goes over little bumps and over speed bumps. I replaced the upper and lower ball joints. Shocks are fairly new. Did the 12 to 6 and 9 to 3 test and theres no play. I had a friend jump up and down on the bumper and i feel the thump from on top of the shock where the nut goes. I checked to see if there were tight and it is. Could this be a bad shock? Can a shock make a thumping noise?

No. 1-1

yes, bad shocks do that all the time, as can worn A frame bushings
