Malibu Parasitic Drain Nightmare.......

Parasitic Drain on battery......."cool fan 1" relay is culprit???

Hey Scotty, thanks for all your help in the past!

Instead of jump starting my M.I.L.'s car(2012 Chevy Malibu LTZ Ecotec) for the rest of my life, I decided to fix it properly!

While in "sleep mode" something is drawing 400 mA. Upon pulling the "cool fan 1" relay, amperage being drawn drops to near 0. Now what? I don't know why this would happen. Is the PCM bad? I don't know where to go from here as the fan is not running.

PLEASE HELP ME! I've got M.I.L. problems!!!!

Thanks for your time in advance!

I would guess body control module or the PCM, disconnect one at a time to see i drain stops to find out

So, it was the BCM. BUT now I found out the dealership originally went down this path and charged her for a new BCM and programming. Assuming this thing has a new(properly functioning) BCM, is there any other possible culprits? Is there a sensor or something telling the BCM to do this? I unplugged ETC and no change in amperage. A short somewhere else???
