Hi Scotty, I have a Hyundai sonata 3.3 V6 2007 . Every morning when i fire my engine its smooth and quiet but after a little while I get to hear some ticking noise coming from the timing belt side. So I took my car to the local mechanic and he said its completely normal with the 200,000km car . However, I took the car to the Hyundai dealer for diagnose the car and they said to me its the timing belt and the oil pump which is making that noise. Now my car is in the local Garage and the mechanic after opening the timing chain says the chain and everything looks fine. I need your help in this matter as I am completely stuck between my mechanic and the dealer ? What must i do now ? I need your expert advice here. Thanks
Thanks Scotty for your advice.I will get all done and see if this solves my problem. Appreciate your time.
often bad tensioners make em do that which you can only check running, not sitting there. Those are not good engines as they age, and odds are that and the oil pump are weak.
