I just bought a 2003 mitsubishi galant GTZ v6. its my first car. After driving for a week, I discovered that it burned through almost all of the mobil 1 high milage synthetic I out into it the week before. I have talked to a few giys who have said ti get rid if it, but I would like a mechanics opinion. should I sell it? should I fix it? Ive already put over $1,400 in repairs, and I bought it for $1,500. Thank you!

A 1998 Corolla with a manual transmission is an excellent choice if you can find one that hasn't been in a wreck.

get rid of it, those are money pits, the engine is on it's last legs. Put it down to lesson learned.
