You can park your car over cardboard or paper overnight to see whats leaking - look closely at the paper in the morning and see what color the oil is and how much spilled out - also often times seniors are told stories about oil leaks that are exaggerated - so the bottom line here is check your fluid levels yourself - if the oil is going down then add a bit - if its every 2 months you add a few ounces it not worth getting it fixed - you need to use this method to determine how big your oil leak is - see your owner's manual to see how to check the fluids for your car

If you're in a desperate situation and if you attend church, call up the pastor and see if he can help you out.

Unfortunately, unless there's some kind of elderly assistance program for car repairs, you're kind of stuck if no friend or family member is available or able to help. Scotty does have a video on finding leaks using an additive that makes the suspected fluid glow when a black light is shined on it using special glasses.
