I have a 94 Camry with 250k miles. It would start but only after a long crank so I cleaned the idle intake valve and then eventually replaced the whole throttle body with a junkyard part. Now it will easily cold start, run at 850 RPMs for 3 minutes and then struggle and die and then will not restart. After waiting 10 minutes it will restart but I have to keep it above 1500 RPMs or it will die again and I have to wait another 10 minutes before I can start it again. Any ideas on what the problems is?

Leaky fuel injectors. If not that, test fuel pressure, check fuel filter and fuel pump.

That gives me some ideas, but it does start, it just doesn’t restart. It mostly feels like a flooding problem. I tried it this morning and held my hand behind the tail pipe. My hand was splattered by gas and black crud. Still runs rough after running for awhile and then won’t restart for 10 minutes after shutting it off.
