I have a 2008 dodge ram 3500 with 118,000 miles on it. It has an emissions thing on it called BlueTec that is required in some states, but not the state I live in. I have heard that you should replace it at 100,000 mile intervals, but I am not sure if that is true. Can I keep going with it, or should I take it off and replace it?

Thank you. Can I just take it off because there are no emissions regulations in Arkansas where I live.

you have to replace it, cause if it goes bad, diesel will run like crap, i've seen the result of guys not changing them

By the way, it has a 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel.
