I have a 2007 Jeep Compass. Today it started to drip hot water from above the gas pedal and at the same time steam was coming out the intake covering the bottom of the windshield. Not a lot of steam. No dash lights came on and when I popped the hood there was no steam coming from anywhere. What could be wrong?

leaking heater core, typical on those cheaply made Chrysler heater cores. One giant pain to replace, good luck on that. But you can bypass it by splicing the heater hoses under the hood by the firewall together. you would have no heat then, but also no leaks
