I have a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon 2.0 manual transmission, bear with me as I tell you all about the car. The car was sitting for months so I turned it on and it had idle issues. I first took it to fill up some gas but the gas pump cut off (and I repeatedly pumped the gas until the tank got full). I added Gumout Multi-System cleaner, cleaned the throttle body, changed the MAF (around $50) and air filter. It helped a little bit but a week later the car started to have the same issue again and the check engine light was on, so I sprayed the vacuum hoses for any vacuum leaks but nothing seemed to change the idle. I took it out for a test drive and when I was coming to a stop the car stalled! So I turned the key and I could hear the engine crank and turn on for a brief second and then stalls again. I tried again but this time I stepped on the gas pedal to keep it on and was able to drive back to normal, especially on the highway (of course, until I come to a stop again and had to repeat the process). Recently I checked the Purge Control valve (and changed the hoses since they rotted out) and it was working fine but nothing changed. Checked the car with a scan tool, and showed codes P0101 and P1166. The MAF reading showed 12 g/s while it was idling but the rpm was around 600 rpm. Today, the car can turn on when its cold, but after you stall, it won't turn on again unless you press the gas pedal and hold it, let it surge and it will go back down to "normal."
