I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer manual transmission with the 2.0 engine with 178k miles. I'm trying to figure out if it would be good to restore to roadworthy condition. It has an engine that burns oil the level got solo a couple times that the valve's would clatter around. The oil pressure light never came on though. It has a leak in the steering rack so that will probably have to be replaced. And the Transmissions synchromesh for 1st and 2nd gear has completely worn out it won't get into first gear without being stopped. Were these cars even all that well made when they were new anyway? I'm tending to think that it isn't. What could be something I could do with it if I don't repair it I don't have another similar vehicle to use the parts for. Thank you!

I woulddn't bother, not worth it
