I have a 2000 dodge Dakota and this check engine light is on and I can’t find out what it is. I need smog and I’m not sure if it will pass due to that engine light

@ScottyKilmer I did crawl underneath the truck last night after I found a wiring diagram and noticed the pigtail for the radiator fan is cut off. That would be throwing the code right ? Because there isn’t any current even getting to the fan. I took it to a mechanic about 2 months ago and he told me that it was the computer and we would need to purchase a new one. If that’s the case on my code would I be better off buying a new radiator fan or trying to splicing the wires together or could I just purchase a pigtail somewhere cheap?
