I have a 1992 Ford Ranger (2.3L 4 cyl. / 5spd. manual) short bed that I have owned since it was new. It has lasted all these years with only a few necessary repairs. Due to its age and being motivated by your YouTube Channel I now attempt to diagnose and repair problems myself. I have been hearing a whooshing sound coming from underneath the passengers side dashboard. The sound goes away when I am accelerating and comes back when I am braking or idling. Any thoughts?

I bled the radiator system out without success. I put my head down under the dash and found a tiny 2mm vacuum hose had a broken plastic coupler. When I put my thumb on the end of the vacuum line the sound immediately went away. I spliced the two ends of the vacuum line together.....NO MORE NOISE! Sweet! What is that small vacuum line for anyway?

Thanks Scotty! I love what you do for us common folk!
