I have a 1991 Eagle Talon 2.0L Turbo AWD Automatic. I am the original owner with about 90k miles, the engine and transmission have been replaced performance/racing engine and transmission. The car will “clunk” when I shift into drive, and much harder “clunk” into reverse. I just had all four engine mounts replaced in October. After doing city driving for about 20 minutes, the car seems to get hot and the idle will creep up so much that I can take my foot off of the gas and the car will slowing accelerate. This is my hobby car so I only drive it intermittently during the summer.
any idea on why the idle creeps up?
of course check the u joints on the driveshaft, then pray they didn't do a crap job building the transmission.
