Holy Mackerel! I followed your steps to the letter about using the CRC Intake Valve cleaner and when I took the car out for the 10 minute drive at highway speeds after the heat soak, at first my Lexus IS250 acted kind of sluggish and when I pulled out on the highway....WOW!!!! All of a sudden something broke loose and the car took off like a scalded cat and I left a grey and black trail of soot 250 years long behind me! I'll bet people thought the car was on fire! Soot just blew out of my tailpipes. Now the car runs great and idles like a dream. Thanks Scotty, I don't think this car had ever had this done to it, and it has 136,000 miles. Thanks for the great info, I will do this after every other oil change.

Is your Lexus IS250 a GDI engine?

great stuuf had my throttle valve body shut down car in cold when 1st start you know that flashing red lightining bolt comes on dash no biggie shut car off waited few secs restarted agin. SO finally after procrastinating took off the tube connecting to the valve body wiped it clean and used brush to clean the grooves where butterfly sits. then used heavy oil on the hinges. Problem solved. Also i had problem with gas float acting up it would drop down to 16th tank light and not read true gas level .... 1$ tree has lubricant in 4 oz can i used that and now gas reads correctly and it bossted my mileage because all the fule lines are lubricated.
