Hi there again scotty! :D :D Can i just put the car in park and it moves slightly on a level or slightly level surface? And do also need to turn off the aircon before I shut off my car?
You should use your handbrake frequently, otherwise your handbrake can end up seizing one way or the other when you actually want to use it.. Secondly you can wear out or damage your parking pawl (the thing that actually stops your car from rolling in park, not the transmission precisely) which would not be good because 1. park will no longer work properly. but 2. It could seriously damage your transmission if pieces of the pawl get dislodged. I'm not sure how likely that is, but putting your parking brake on every time is an easy habit to form and is perfectly fine for your car. Just don't forget to take it off otherwise you will need new brake shoes. Still better than a new transmission.
You don't have to turn off your air conditioner when you turn off your car it doesn't affect performance however it is always best if you park on a straight surface as opposed to a hill
