Hi Scotty, sorry for the long question. TL;DR : Is a Vehicle Protection Plan(7 yr/100k miles) Platinum grade by AutoNation dealer costing around $3067(~$3700 in the end with financing) worth for a 2015 CPO Acura TLX with 53k miles(1st purchased in 2014 August) ? The plan coverage is given below.
QUOTING "WHEN THE PLATINUM AGREEMENT PLAN HAS BEEN PURCHASED AS INDICATED ON THE INFORMATION SCHEDULE, WE WILL REMEDY ANY BREAKDOWN OF YOUR VEHICLE EXCEPT ITEMS LISTED UNDER THE SECTIONS IV. MAINTENANCE & PARTS THIS AGREEMENT DOES NOT COVER AND V. AGREEMENT LIMITATIONS." For SECTION IV : PLEASE REFER TO https://prnt.sc/l14f1e . SECTION V: PART 1: https://prnt.sc/l14ftb, PART 2:
The car comes with a CPO 1 year/12k miles non-powertrain warranty along 7 year/100k mile powertrain warranty by Acura.
I am financing at 6.99% APR, so in the end after 66 months,I would be paying around $3,703(more than $600 extra) for the plan. This seems a lot of money.
Is this worth for my car given that Acuras are generally reliable? Will the CPO warranties be enough for a car over 50k miles? Hoping to hear from you soon as the last date for cancellation with full refund is coming up soon.
