Hi Scotty. Its the guy looking at buying the 2003 pathfinder se rwd. I heed your previous warning about drivetrain issues. Looking around online it seems the tranny problem was 2005 and beyond. There is an issue with "rear trailing arm bushing" on this 2003 era though. Which is what a local mechanic confirmed to be the problem without me mentioning it. He showed me while rocking the car back and forward that there was a lot of play and basically causing the back axle to twist a bit under quick acceleration or letting off gas at higher speeds. Parts are cheap enough but they said they're internet was down so they couldn't check labor. I figure just an hour or two but I would do it myself probably. Again, the car swerves when pushing on or letting off gas sharply at around 40 or more. Do these symptoms fit the described solution? Does it sound like the correct fix. I really only want the car for two years to use for uber then save to go newer. 1500 for car 200 for bushings and rental tools. Plus title and rego. What do you think? Worth the gamble? I appreciate your detailed opinion...
