Hi Scotty,

I would like to know more about engine honing. Can you make a video about engine honing and cleaning the engine?

i am in the brush industry and I see people uses special cylindrical toilet brush style to clean the valves of the engine.

I know engine honing creates special curve texture on the wall of the cylinder, but does it really improves the engine performace?

Why would people want to break down the entire engine to clean it when they can just use carbon cleaning?

Thanks for the reply!

people do all kinds of strange things, but honing should be left to a pro machinist who measures and cuts stuff correctly. Rarely does anyone outside a racing mechanic take an engine apart to measure and clean it
