I've got a 2007 Civic coupe with 150k miles. The Honda dealer has found three related mechanical issues:
- front struts are worn out
- rack and pinion fluid leakage
- power steering pump leakage
Do worn-out struts affect the performance of the rack and pinion or the pump? Does it make sense to replace just the rack and pinion but not the struts?
If I try to top up the power steering fluid regularly (genuine Honda brand), would it mitigate the effect of fluid leakage in the long run?
