Hi Scotty I’ve been a huge fan of your YouTube channel and watch your videos all the time...I have owned a 1983, 1998, 2001, 2004, and now a 2009 Dodge Ram, all half ton V-8 models with the current being a 5.7 Hemi. My uncle has a 2001 model with over 500,000 trouble free miles on the original gasoline V8 and original transmission. My mother has a 2012 Ram 1500 that has been completely trouble free too. I understand Chrysler has and does make some not so good cars (as all brands do) but I don’t believe ALL their products can be bad especially with the good luck the family has had with the Ram 1500 trucks. The newer Rams like my 09 have greatly improved over the previous ones it seems, especially the dashboard that is made out of a much better material and doesn’t crack like the older ones do. I love this truck! But because Dodge Caravans have bad transmissions, you seem to indicate that ALL Chrysler products are bad and I was just wondering why? Did I buy the wrong truck? It’s been a great truck the past 10 years (bought it new in 2009) but is it truly a ticking time bomb? I’d hate to think so because it’s truly been one of the most reliable vehicles I’ve ever owned, nothing ever done to it except routine maintenance....thanks for taking the time to read, and I’d love to hear your take.

I note you only had some of those RAMs 3-yrs. I've owned same Toyota truck 29-years, by contrast. Scotty often states that even back in the day, his Grandfather didn't like Dodge products, as being poorly made. A clue lies embedded in Scotty's 22JAN2019 broadcast, citing that the engines are good, but not the non-engine remainder of the Dodges. He named Dodge Ram (Daytona) as "5 Used Trucks You Should Never Buy - YouTube". Scotty's comment, quote: "All show & no go." Stupid spoiler. Like the rest of Dodge products other than engine, it's not that well made. It's a Racing truck. Speed is great when it works, but when it doesn't, Get out your walking shoes!"
