Hi Scotty! I think you are AMAZING by the way... So as a woman on her own, I have been able to fix my own car following your advice and videos. My question today is to try and help my 75 year old dad. He has a 2004 Buick Ranier. It suddenly wouldn't start, no crank, no sound nothing. So he jumped the car and it started. Figured it was the battery. Had bought a used and recharged one. Replaced it with a brand new one. Guess what... didn't start. No crank. Just a single click. When starter is turned to on all lights come on, dash lights, as normal. When its turned to start nothing particular stays on, nor does the security light. Its a small blinking red ight on the radio face. It stops blinking when turning the ignition to start. So, after some research that mentions the security system passlock, it seems this isn't the problem because that blinking light turns off when we put it in start... unless I'm missing something. So Scotty... any ideas? Anything would really help. Thanks again! Keep rockin'!
either starter is bad or you'll need a pro mechanic to fix the theft system
