Hi Scotty,

I recently bought a 2018 Chevy

Impala V-6 direct fuel injection with 34,000 miles.  Runs great.  I love it.  Do I need to worry about carbon buildup?  Would running E85 help?

Thanks,

Waterboy

Ha! Thanks for your replies, and the explanatory video. No sugar coating around here. Just the cold, hard facts. I'm glad I asked.

GM is near the bottom of the Scrap Heap in Scotty's book. And just last week Scotty advised (...again...) to buy non-turbo, non-diesel, non-supercharged, non-GDI engine-- to get a simpler naturally aspirated engine without GDI. After watching this MUST-SEE, I wouldn't own one and if I did, I'd sell it: https://youtu.be/xrLNDgrIw3U
