Hi Scotty, I really enjoy your videos and I learn alot from you. I have a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE, CVT trans, with 28,000 miles on it. There is a safety recall on it I received a notice about. The "fix" is to have the dealer install a noise suppression unit. Personally, I don't think it is a fix, but anyway, I do not want to take my perfectly good car to a dealer for this work. They can't even check wiper blades in my opinion. I had a very bad time with the recall on my 04 Honda Civic, which the dealer destroyed and cost me a small fortune to get fixed by my independent mechanic. I will never take my car to a dealer ever again. I can probably do the work myself, but of course, they won't sell you the part.

My question is: Should I just ignore the recall? I don't care about airbags really. We did not have them in the 70s or 80s, so why now? They seem to do more harm than good. I'm not a maniac driver, but it is always the other guy you have to watch for.
I am very much against taking it to a dealer, I absolutely hardcore do not trust them.

Thank you for doing what you do Scotty, you are a huge help.
