Hi Scotty,

I really enjoy watching your videos on YouTube, and you give a lot of great advice for car owners. I have a 2002 Honda Accord V6 that I've had for 12 years, with 267,000 miles on it. It needs some repair work, including spark plugs and coils for a misfires. This may have been caused by the recent polar vortex we experienced last month or just normal wear and tear of the vehicle. I wanted to get this fixed as soon as possible. Would you recommend that I keep the car as long as possible, despite how unreliable it is with its ages and repairs? I am thinking of selling the car for at least $1500 at some point.

I've been looking around at prospective vehicles for personal use and commuting to work. I watched your video about the 2014 Lexus IS250, which seems like the type of vehicle I would want to get. It includes all of the features I would want: high quality, AWD, leather interior, reliability, and longevity. Would you recommend this car? Are there other vehicles that you would recommend for me?

I really appreciate any feedback from you. Thank you!

Thanks guys. I've been looking around at Toyotas for a cheap price, since I want a low-cost reliable car that would last me for 10 years. I'm 28 years old, so I would like a car that would help me through my 30s. I realize that I would have to budget myself to under $10K for a car due to building up my savings. Maybe even go to $6K. Would you still recommend a Lexus? Toyota Camry? Are there other low cost used vehicles that you'd recommend?

Depends. Is your GEN-6 Accord manual or automatic transmission? Can you afford upkeep on two vehicles? You're right, you won't get much if you sell. If manual, just for bragging rights, I'd keep it to see if I could run clock to 400,000-mi. Not if automatic. I think you'd be thrilled w/ Lexus. Scotty's Lexus = 2002 ES300. My brother has Lexus, loves it. If manual, keep Accord = weekend car, Lexus = your daily.
