Hi Scotty

I just purchased a 2013 Toyota yaris. I seem to get a creak or rubber squeak or light creak either over large speedhumps or full turn either left to right. The front and back makes these noises but with different tones.

The car has done 58000 kms and has been kept in excellent condition and the shocks are not leaking and or torn under inspection, what would you suggest i do to get ride of the noises? I do live on the coast.

Hi Scotty, ive sprayed them twice now and the noise persists. To add my sister has a 2010 Yaris and now she has a similar noise to mine as the KMs are near the same on each vehicle. I have a suspicion it could be something to do with the top of the shock or dampener where it meets and attaches to the car itself. If it is what should i use to see if it calms down, as im not confident enough to remove the shocks entirely and as a student cant afford a mechanic to do so at this moment.

Thanks Scotty, i will spray them and see if they stop. Hopefully it lasts relatively long.

realize modern cars do not have grease fittings. They use rubber bushings that fit over metal parts to prevent friction and make for smooth suspension. BUT, they age, then make noise. Try spraying WD 40 on all the rubber bushings and see if noise goes away. that new, odds are none are cracked or broken, which you could see, but they will creak
