Hi Scotty, I have a few questions , but to start with, my car had a weird problem the car wouldnt crank start at times, the mechanics i found asked me to change the battery ,but the problem remained, then I thought it was a starter ,and that was replaced too..but the problem stayed the car could be push starter but once in a week failed to crank. Finally i found i gave it a genuine service explaining the problem and the mechanic said it could be the grounding cable..so currently its in the service centre for repairs ,but they did some more checks to my car and they called my up saying my engine has lots of sludge and they would need to open the engine to clean it..i asked how would that be i just refilled the oil 3000km before. He said it can only be cleaned by opening up the engine. And flushing with solutions wont help.

My question is: To clean engine sludge do they need to open the engine?

I drive the car to the service centre and the car doesnt make any noises while idiling the engine light is not on,so is he making me a fool to make money by opening up the engine..i have told him to stop working on the car right away!

find a better mechanic, one who will clean with engine flush chemicals first
