Hi Scotty. I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4WD. V6. 6speed standard transmission. Bought it brand new. Back then when I use to take it in to Toyota dealer for oil change and tuneup they never tell me anything about changing the brakes fluid. 3 years ago I bought my wife a new Toyota Highlander. I brought it in for the 60 thousand miles check up and they told me I need to change the brakes fluid. During the 70s, 80s, 90s. I use to help my dad fix the brakes we never change the brakes fluid and I never heard of a vehicle having problems with the brakes because the brakes fluid needs to be change. Why do we have to change brakes fluid these days is this a new money making scheme that the dealer came up with. And then the dealer talk me into changing the brakes fluid on my 2005 Tacoma which I let them do it. When I got back the truck I ask if they had bleed out the clutch system too. they said no. The truck has 1 reservoir that service both the clutch and the brakes. Seeing that they are both on the same system shouldnt the clutch and the brakes be bled at the same time. The truck has 212,000 miles on it. It still have the original clutch and original rear brakes.

Thank You

of course you should bleed both, they use the same fluid and both collect water moisture from the air
